Harnesses

Bungee Designs duo-harness systems are defined for each jump site according
to the site's needs and jumper types. Most sites carry an assortment of
harnesses to accomodate multiple jumpers in many weight ranges. The most
common harness system in use at our sites is the combo waist and chest harness.
This method of jumping cradles the body and reduces stress on the back and
neck.
BD Seat Harness: The "Total Hard Corp"
Seat Harness is the most comfortable and safest seat harness available.
The waist and leg loops are padded with polar lite fleece for comfort.
The hook point is a 5000lbf(22.24kN) Mil spec D-Ring with a tube-webbed
backup. The double-pull parachute buckle waist adjustment makes it quick
and simple to put on and take off for people of any size. Feature contrast
stitching for visual inspection of thread wear. Available in sizes S-XL.
BD Chest Harness: A completely adjustable figure-eight
style chest harness with padded chest and shoulder. Features a single forged
"O"-Ring. One Size fits all.
BD Dual Ankle Harness: Two individual fully adjustable
ankle harnesses. System includes backup safety strap to attach to seat
harness and polar lite padding around each ankle. One size fits all.
Bungee & Ejection Cords

Bungee Designs was a pioneer in the design and manufacture of bungee
cords for commercial use. Through extensive research and engineering, we
designed a cord that provides 100% safety and a comfortable, non-jarring,
ride. These cords are in use on attractions worldwide and have given millions
of participants, from ages 6-96, the thrill of their lifetime in complete
safety.
Bungee Designs all-rubber cord system: Each cord consists
of over a thousand single strands of high grade latex natural rubber. The
use of silicone as a lubricant and zinc-oxide as an actuator provides better
abrasion resistance than other cords. The longevity of the rubber is increased
by use of an ozone protective additive.
Static-Line Backup: A seperate 4000 lb. minimum breaking
strength safety static line runs parallel to the rubber cord. The static
line assures an operator that the rubber cord will never over-extend. The
customer is attached to a failsafe system that always functions with a
secured backup operating independantly of the rubber. It provides absolute
security and backup in the unlikely case of a cord failure. Each static
line is equipped with an "over-elongation indicator" (O.E.I.)
that is can be inspected hourly and will warn of premature cord wear or
over-extension.
Protective Sheath & Colors: A Highly durable
and colorful latex sheath covers each cords and protects from U-V light,
weather, wear, and abrasion, allowing longer cord life. Color-coding for
weight categories provides added safety to avoid misuse of a cord.
A Better Ride: In the past, with other operators using
a wide variety of cord designs, jumpers experienced a jolt or jarring effect
at the lowest point of extension. Bungee Designs cords are all rubber and
extend at least three times theri original length, ensuring a smooth ride
with no sudden jolts. Patrons of all weights and physical abilities have
found Bungee Designs rides to be more exhilarating, with less g force exerted
on the body, than most amusement rides.
Air Bags
Each Bungee Designs site is equipped with several additional safety measures.
The most obvious of these is the use of a safety air bag. Just as used in
firefighting, construction, and stunt work, the airbags are placed below
each jump platform and provide both safety and a more comfortable dismount
for each participant after each jump. On both the Sky-High Bungee Bridge,
and the Tower 2000, the jumpers are lowered in to the bag and helped off
after the jump.
