Excited Jumpers in Japan!

Squaw Valley USA - Bungee Squaw Valley

As the first permanent Bungee Designs Site, this site is perhaps
one of the most unique commercial bungee locations in the world. Located
at elevation 8200', at the top of Squaw Valley USA's cable car, the jumper
is treated to an exhilarating leap out over a 500' cliff and Lake Tahoe.
Opening in 1992, the location operates year-round, including during the
winter, while skiers watch nearby.
This site was a unique challenge for Bungee Designs as they had to deliver
the structure up to the top of the mountain via steep roads and erect it
without a crane in below-freezing weather. Special engineering was required
due to the cold weather, winds, and snow loads the tower had to sustain.
To date, the structure has stood tall in winds in excess of 150 mph, and
through huge blizzards.
Bungee Squaw Valley offers jumping to thousands of jumpers every year from
all over the world. This site has been used as an example of safe, quality
bungee jumping all over the world.
